³⁴ Let Pharaoh appoint commissioners^(A) over the land to take a fifth^(B) of the harvest of Egypt during the seven years of abundance.^(C)

⁴⁸ Joseph collected all the food produced in those seven years of abundance in Egypt and stored it in the cities.^(A) In each city he put the food grown in the fields surrounding it.

³⁵ Jehoiakim paid Pharaoh Necho the silver and gold he demanded. In order to do so, he taxed the land and exacted the silver and gold from the people of the land according to their assessments.^(A)
